Our Child's Path Therapeutic Intervention Program provides mental health services to families of young children between the ages of birth and six who are having emotional or behavioral difficulties and are Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
Children who are having difficulties often display one or more of the following behaviors:
- Frequent Disobedience
- Temper Tantrums
- Physical or Verbal Aggression
- Difficulty Getting Along with Others
- Hyperactivity
- Sleep Problems
- Behavior-Related Eating Problems
- Difficulty with Change
- Frequent Worry
- Withdrawal
- Lack of Interest in Others
The goal of our program is to provide individualized mental health services that decrease behavioral problems in children and increase parent support. A Child's Path Therapeutic Intervention Program provides a variety of services relevant to the individual needs of children and their families. Each child will receive a mental Health Assessment based on information provided by parents and observation of the child. Once the assessment is completed, parents and a mental health professional write goals for treatment that reflect parental concerns. The parent-professional team then selects appropriate services, including individual and family rehab, family therapy, individual therapy and/ or consultation with other individuals and agencies working with the child in other settings.
