Sojourn Services Inc. has been serving families throughout Santa Barbara County since August 1997

We are a private non-profit 501(c)3 organization serving infants and young children ages 0-6 with developmental delays, emotional or behavior issues and adults with developmental disabilities.

Sojourn began with a group of experienced professionals committed to a vision of inclusion and empowerment of all persons with disabilities.

Sojourn believes that "inclusion begins at birth" and that public & private systems and communities must create and support options for all individuals to achieve their maximum potential as contributing members of society.

Sojourn's services for children are family-centered, individualized, interdisciplinary, and provided in the child's "natural environments" of home, neighborhood, child care, preschool and family activities.

We "follow" each child and family where they are inclined to go, and provide needed ideas and support, rather than create new or isolated activities that may not be sustainable.

Sojourn believes in the ability of all individuals to achieve happiness and well being as contributing members of their neighborhoods and communities.

Sojourn is available to individuals in Santa Barbara and San L:uis Obispo County.

SOJOURN EVENT ANNOUCEMENT

The “Central Coast Crazy Race” is a fundraising event for Sojourn Services Inc.
“Central Coast Crazy Race” is a locally sponsored event designed to support local agencies in raising funds to help supplement the costs of running their necessary and enriching programs.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, May 1st.
The race will begin with a pancake breakfast from 6:30-8:00 at 1619 South Broadway in Santa Maria. The race consists of teams, of two people, who will drive from city to city. The teams will take in the beauty of the Central Coast while performing different tasks, playing several games, and collecting specific information. The team who completes all of the tasks required and gets to the finish line first, WINS!

Registration Fee is $100.00 per team.
Cash prize is determined by number of registered teams.
All other proceeds will go to Sojourn Services Inc.

To be eligible to compete you must:

be at least 16 years of age or older
have a valid CA. drivers licence
show proof of car insurance
paid registration fee
